Hi!
My name is Robin and I am the owner/doormat designer over here at Coco & Bass. I live in the sunniest city in Canada, Calgary. My second home is my husband’s native country, the Cayman Islands. How did I get him to move to Canada you ask? Cuddling! I always tell him that Canada is more cuddling conducive! It’s true & it worked! 

I have been making doormats since 2017 and it is an absolute labour of love. I adore interacting with my customers and get a kick out of what they choose to have put on their doormats! I love how a doormat can immediately add personality to a home & provide the visitor a glimpse of what’s behind the door. 

I started making doormats as a result of my entrepreneurial mindset … anytime I see a product I like, I wonder if I can make it or buy it, and how it would sell. Most times it’s just a fleeting thought, and then on occasion I jump on the idea and run with it! I am thankful for how my business has taken off and the support of the Coco & Bass community!

I am also thankful for the most supportive husband who goes along with my business idea brainstorming, which is an almost daily saga!

I have been on the search for years for a business that I could do from home and work around my passions, being a wife and mama. As I juggle doormats, I’m usually doing so with my 2 sweet girls & golden-doodle, Milo, playing nearby, and hubby often giving a helping hand. And most days it involves my mischievous girls dressing up said doodle (who is also the Coco & Bass mascot). It is an absolute blessing to do both my passions (business building & mom-ing) from home, tho sometimes the state of my house will say otherwise! It’s all a beautiful mess and I would not change a thing!
